OKX SG has been granted a large payment institution license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore,

On September 2nd, the world's leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 technology company OKX announced that its local entity OKX SG Pte. Ltd. (OKX SG) has obtained a Large Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and appointed Gracie Lin as the CEO of OKX SG.

According to the license granted by the Payment Services Act 2019 (PS Act), OKX SG can provide digital payment tokens and cross-border remittance services for Singaporean users, including spot trading (buying and selling) of cryptocurrencies.

As CEO, Gracie Lin will be responsible for executing the company's strategic plans, including developing digital payment token products and services that meet the needs of Singaporean customers.

Gracie Lin has nearly 20 years of experience in finance, public sector, and technology. Before joining OKX, she served as a member of the Grab management team, responsible for regional strategy and economic teams. Prior to this, she held multiple positions at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the sovereign wealth fund GIC, accumulating extensive experience in management, operations, business strategy, and financial regulation. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and obtained a Master's degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University.

Singapore is a core market for OKX's global development strategy. The approval of MPI license and the appointment of Gracie Lin mark important milestones for OKX in Singapore.
